Accounting Intern-Tax & Audit 2017 Tax Season

Myler & Szczypka, P.C. is looking for two interns, to assist with audit engagement and tax preparation. Those filling these positions will handle a wide range of important duties.

Responsibilities include:

TAX

• Prepare individual tax returns to meet government requirements and deadlines and client expectations
• Maintain a working knowledge of individual tax laws
• Respond orally and in writing to various tax inquiries from clients
• Maintain working knowledge of tax preparation software used in the office (UltraTax)
• Perform other accounting duties as necessary to meet the responsibilities of the position and client expectations

AUDIT

• Responsible for auditing select areas of a client balance sheet and income statement
• Assist with or prepare financial statements and other related reports
• Apply the pronouncements of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the AICPA
• Meet client deadlines
