Marketing Intern

FlyInStyle is looking for an experienced social media & marketing intern to join our team to help build FlyInStyle from the ground up. We are an early stage startup, working under The Professional Connection Incorporated (Ft Lauderdale, FL), creating a marketing platform for airports to engage travelers with exciting content related to shopping, dining, relaxing and improving the overall airport experience.  We have a marketing services arm which is client facing, to create innovative content, and a consumer facing mobile application, which helps users find fun and interesting things to do at airports globally.

Candidate will lead the social media content of the FlyInStyle brand across various platforms including (but not limited to): Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & Klout. Responsibilities will also include assisting in brand research, consumer studies, building consumer awareness & trial and have opportunity to influence design of the final application. Candidate will also manage content of FlyInStyle4Biz, a separate profile catering to industry news to drive awareness for FlyInStyle on the business side.

Responsibilities
• Content Strategy & Development - Social, Mobile, Blogs, Website
• Social Media Overviews (Topline, Strategy): Create topline review of top social media platforms and recommend how FlyInStyle might participate.
• Social Media Competitive Analysis: Pull together summary of existing competition (airport travel apps & social apps by category).
• SEO, Google Analytics, Flurry Anlytics: Use analytics to target and acquire users for download, remind users to try app during travel and create advocacy.
• Target Market Analysis & Action Plan: Pull together a summary of target users for FlyInStyle and create action plan to gain brand awareness and trial of on FlyInStyle launch page, gain targeted social media followers & drive trial of app during launch.
• Social Media Research (Detailed, Execution): Pull together bi-weekly brief/summary of articles related to airport travel, tech & social media across platforms and recommended course of action to capitalize on these audiences.
• RSS building: Internal: Set up an RSS reader to monitor social media activity around FlyInStyle, Industry News, Customer News. External: Set up FlyInStyle's "Featured News" on RSS feeds on facebook page and web page.
• Blog monitoring: Identify top bloggers to follow related to Travel, Airports, Duty Free, Travel Retail, Social Media; highlight in weekly newsletter, build relationship through Twitter & WP.
• Blogging: Establish FlyInStyle blog & create weekly content (subject to approval). Create personal blog & post about experiences related to airport travel
• Website Feedback: Provide analysis of FlyInStyle app & website (once active).
• Video Project (Example): Identify 10-20 people and video interview them both on their experiences as airport travelers around the globe. Create an "RTB" video, editing them together to highlight both the problems of the airport traveler and the solutions from the app. Quality content will have potential to be featured on FlyInStyle.co.
