Research Intern - Cell Biology

RESEARCH INTERN - Cell Biology
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Timeline
Applications: November – February 2020

Internship: 40 hours/week for 10-13 weeks, typically May – August

Internship Summary:
The goal will be to build a database of transcriptomic, phenotypic, and functional characteristics of different macrophage subclassifications following various mitogenic and co-culture conditions.

Internship Job Duties:

  • Isolation of immune cell populations
  • Tissue culture and co-culture experiments
  • Transcriptomic profiling, Immuno-phenotyping, intracellular cytokine assays, and microscopy.

Internship Qualifications:

  • The candidate should be studying Cell/Molecular Biology
  • Experience in with sterile technique and laboratory environments
  • Introduction to immunology
  • Enrolled in a degree program during the Spring term preceding internship
  • Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
