Internship: 40 hours/week for 10-13 weeks, typically May – August
Internship Summary:
The goal will be to build a database of transcriptomic, phenotypic, and functional characteristics of different macrophage subclassifications following various mitogenic and co-culture conditions.
Internship Job Duties:
- Isolation of immune cell populations
- Tissue culture and co-culture experiments
- Transcriptomic profiling, Immuno-phenotyping, intracellular cytokine assays, and microscopy.
Internship Qualifications:
- The candidate should be studying Cell/Molecular Biology
- Experience in with sterile technique and laboratory environments
- Introduction to immunology
- Enrolled in a degree program during the Spring term preceding internship
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
