Computational Scientist

Computational Research Scientist

Do you want to tackle hard problems that will make a difference in the world?
Are you tired of academic politics and the publication treadmill?
Instead of chasing big data, writing software to serve Internet ads or training quant models, wouldn’t you like to do something more meaningful?

We are looking for individuals with solid problem-solving skills who are willing to tackle challenging research in molecular modeling, quantum interactions, optimization problems and related areas. As a member of the platform team you will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and multi-disciplinary research environment. You will work on the design and implementation of key components of Verseon's proprietary drug discovery platform. Your focus will be on new and challenging innovations in the area of computational drug discovery.

We are open to candidates with diverse research backgrounds not limited to computer science, engineering, mathematics or pure science.

At Verseon we are developing a process for systematically designing novel drug molecules that bind to important disease-causing protein targets. We are not looking for canned solutions and quick fixes. You will have the opportunity to pursue hard research problems and develop novel and efficient computational methods.
