Children's Programming Internship

Qualifications:

Undergraduate/Graduate Major in: Communications, Education, English, Psychology, Social Studies, Social Work, Sociology, and other majors considered.

Job Description:

The Children's Programming Intern reports to the Director of Education and is responsible for the prepping, setting up, facilitating, and cleaning up of children's programs, as well as assisting with special programs, events, and Outreach programming as needed. The Children's Programming Intern may also assist with other duties, as determined by the director of Education.


Skills Needed for Children's Programming Intern:

Works well with children and adults, creative, good communication skills, self motivated and very independent, able to adapt to a variety of situations, comfortable using a computer for creating documents and internet research (as needed).

General Information:

  • The Children's Programming Intern may work flexible hours, but it is desirable for the Intern to have availability during some or all of the following times: Tuesdays from 9:30am-12:30pm, Wednesdays from 9:30am-12:30pm, Thursdays from 9:30am-12:30pm or Thursday evenings from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Friday mornings from 9:30am-12:30pm, and Saturdays from 12:30pm-3:30pm.
  • The Children's Programming Intern should be available between 6-15 hours per week
  • This internship is not paid
