Overview:

At Success Academy, we believe that education is for the kids but about the adults. Consequently, we are deeply committed to training adults to get the best outcomes for kids.

Since opening our first Harlem school in 2006, Success Academy Charter Schools has swiftly grown to 34 high-performing schools, serving 11,000 kids from Bed-Stuy to the Bronx. We are scaling to 100 great schools serving 50,000 children across New York City, bringing transformational change here and across the country

Every day our schools are faced with the tremendous challenge of both educating scholars and effectively managing third-party requests, safety concerns and general legal issues.

With our rapid growth and commitment to all kids, Success Academy is seeking a School Advisor to join our team -- someone who will advise our schools on high-level school matters. Through conducting research, drafting memoranda, preparing training materials, conducting investigations, drafting policies and procedures, and assisting in compliance reporting requirements as well as litigation when it arises, among other responsibilities, our School Advisor will ensure that Success Academy staff can dedicate their time to teaching and learning at our schools. This key player will be part of a larger Advisory Team that is working tirelessly to provide support for our schools and scholars.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Advisory Team, the School Advisor will work closely with our school leaders and other Success Academy departments. Our School Advisor must be someone who has:

• Strong research, writing, problem solving, and analytical abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail, yet work efficiently

• An ability to work well under pressure and keep track of multiple projects/deadlines

• An eagerness to learn and a passion for education reform

To join our team, please upload a cover letter and resume that outlines your candidacy. Your cover letter should explain in detail your qualifications for the position. Resumes without cover letters will not be reviewed.
