POSITION

Role: Associate & Senior Associate

Job Description
The roles of Associates and Senior Associate are to provide research, analysis, documentation, and project management support while working as an integral part of a Cofactor Group engagement team. Associates will typically join Cofactor Group out of an undergraduate program, while Senior Associates have several years of work experience or a master’s degree. Senior Associates are expected to work on larger and more complex work-streams and with a greater degree of autonomy than Associates. Senior Associates participate in client discussions and have opportunities to present results. Strong performers in both roles will have the opportunity for advancement within the company.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree from a leading university and a record of strong academic achievement
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw insights from data/information
• Ability to work independently and self-teach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a project team
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and imperfect information
• Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, and organize and prioritize work
• Possess maturity needed to operate in a client-facing professional services environment
• Applicants for the Senior Associate position must have post-undergrad professional work experience and/or an advanced degree

Location and Travel Requirements
• Associates and Senior Associates may be based at our home office in Berwyn, PA or in the New York City to Washington DC corridor
• Travel to client sites is required and will vary depending on the type of engagement with a maximum of 4 days on-site per week

Preferred
• Undergraduate degree in life sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, etc..), engineering, finance or economics
• Strong practical experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• For Associates, prior experience working in a professional environment, e.g., through an internship or work-study program


Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work with Cofactor Group engagement teams and customers to:
• Collect data, conduct research, perform analyses, and generate insights related to the client’s business
• Prepare working documents (e.g., Excel models, PowerPoint presentations) for the project team, including results and findings from analyses, project status updates, and internal discussion documents
• Support engagement teams in the creation of client-ready deliverables
• Interact with clients to obtain information, respond to requests, communicate findings, and provide status updates
• Proactively look for opportunities to help team members within and across projects

Additional responsibilities may include ownership of specific project work streams or client deliverables, and support of firm-building activities.
