College Marketing Representative

Rostrum Records, a full-service independent record label representing a diverse roster of artists including Wiz Khalifa, The Bird & the Bee, Mike Taylor, Mod Sun, and TeamMate, is looking for passionate and creative students to join its college marketing rep team. College marketing reps will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience while building a strong foundation of knowledge about marketing in today’s music industry climate. College marketing representative positions are unpaid and for college credit only.

·     Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate college student with 2 or more semesters before graduation

·     Must be able to commit to a schedule of 15 hours/week

·     Passion and enthusiasm for music and emerging media

·     Social media presence with an authentic and unique voice

·     Understanding of current music trends and habits

·     Creative problem solver and critical thinker with excellent communication skills

·     Strong work ethic

·     Self-starter

·     Heavy campus involvement and a thorough understanding of key school organizations, resources, and tastemakers is a plus

·     Must have access to a car, computer, and camera

·     Utilize infrastructures already in place at your university to promote Rostrum’s artists and their releases and local concerts

·     Establish and nurture relationships with key tastemakers, including programming committees, on-campus clubs, DJs, college radio, greek life, and other trendsetters and tastemakers

·     Create and maintain a database of resources and contacts on your campus

·     Provide support on-site for marketing campaigns and artist events; attend concerts and provide recaps

·     Pitch and develop strategies for artists that will be relevant to your student body

·     Keep Rostrum marketing team aware of on-campus and local events suitable for tie-ins
