Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs
IBD Strats collaborate with capital markets professionals and investment bankers to create analytics and structured solutions for our clients. We perform a number of functions, to include: (a) helping corporations raise funds and optimize their capital structures across a range of products (b) assessing various M&A alternatives (c) designing derivatives to help entities meet tactical and strategic risk-management objectives; (d) pricing and risk-managing the funding commitments made by the firm to corporate clients; (e) analyzing internal and external datasets to advance the business of the firm and its clients; (f) expanding the development of the firm’s proprietary code base from which all the above analytics are deployed.
Principle Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire an analyst in New York for the Corporate Derivatives Analytics Team. This strat will work closely with the Corporate Derivatives marketing desk, which provides derivative risk management solutions to the firm’s corporate clients. This strat will develop and use models and tools to better provide structuring, pricing, and analytics for corporate derivative portfolios. They will use statistical data analysis techniques to identify risk management opportunities for clients and to enhance the team’s marketing effort. They will work with a wide array of risk management products, including interest rate, currency, commodity, and credit derivatives, providing solutions to clients across all industries.
• Superior quantitative / analytic reasoning and problem-solving abilities

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including high level of fluency in English
