New Business Development Manager

The Job:

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the purpose of the position is to develop Tough Mudder’s strategy for expansion into new territories, a key contribution to the growth of TM’s business. This person will research new markets for Tough Mudder, evaluate how Tough Mudder’s business should operate in each new market and be responsible for sourcing potential partners.

 

The Work:

Develop strategy and market prioritization for 2017+

  • Identify key markets for Tough Mudder expansion through in depth research and analysis
  • Develop long term strategy for Tough Mudder’s expansion into key markets

Run process to identify all potential partners in target markets

  • Conduct search and initial outreach to potential partners across all target markets
  • Run RFP process in all target markets in order to evaluate potential partners’ capabilities in operations, sales and marketing

Lead negotiation process with external partners

  • Lead on deal construction and negotiation of terms with external partners
  • Work in conjunction with TM’s legal team in order to finalize contracts with external partners

Collaborate with international team to establish success of 2016 partners

  • In conjunction with International marketing and operations teams, evaluate the performance of our existing partner (3-4 in 2016) and identify growth opportunities
  • Negotiate contract extensions where appropriate
