Young Adult Service Communities (United Church of Christ)

It is the vision of the United Church of Christ’s Young Adult Service Communities (YASC) to provide a platform for young adult leaders to transform communities through the faith-inspired pursuit of justice, collaborative action and intentional living. The program provides a unique opportunity for your new graduates to grow personally, professionally and spiritually while serving to foster community and promote justice.

One year of service allows students and recent graduates the stage to enact change and grow as community leaders.  During their participation in the YASC program, young adult leaders receive meaningful, hands-on experience, working with social agencies and church communities involved in various local contexts. In addition, the focus on intentional community provides a support system as they wrestle with questions of meaning and as they tackle vocational discernment.
