Analyst, Ad Sales Strategy

Role Summary The Analyst for Ad Sales Strategy should possess a strong ability to analyze data and communicate insights in visually compelling formats. This person will leverage syndicated research tools to effectively position the NBCU portfolio, evaluate new revenue opportunities, and provide support for Sales and Client Solutions. This role reports to the Director, Ad Sales Strategy.
* Work closely with the Managers and Director in response to day-to-day requests and the development of data driven research stories
* Complete day-to-day linear and digital sales research requests and projects using syndicated research tools ranging from ratings requests to ROI analysis
* Develop actionable research used in positioning the value of the NBCU portfolio
* Produce regular audience tracking and trending reports, competitive analyses, and spending overviews
* Create marketplace overviews to keep sales informed of changing media landscape
* Develop effective sales positioning for the NBCU portfolio and verticals
* Provide support to Client Solutions teams in the development of consumer insights and response to RFPs
* Explore and evaluate new metrics that will enhance the value of NBCU's audiences to advertisers

Requirements
* 1 year of professional experience and/or relevant internship experience
* Proactive thinkers who can handle multiple projects at once
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving abilities are crucial
* Comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and strong client service skills required Basic Qualifications
* Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
* Candidates must have proven experience in analyzing and interpreting quantitative research with internal client business needs in mind Eligibility Requirements

* Knowledge of Nielsen data and other research systems (NPower, Adviews, Star Media, Lake 5, MRI, Simmons, comScore, etc.) and/or understanding of ratings and viewing statistics a plus
* Solid understanding of media math and the current media landscape
* Experience with Excel and Powerpoint
