Events Account Coordinator

NFM+Dymun is looking for a full-time account coordinator who will be responsible for the hands-on execution and management of all aspects of events for our clients, involving travel for up to 40% of the time both around the country and in the Pittsburgh region.

The account coordinator works with the account team to develop and implement the event plan and strategy on behalf of our clients. They develop strong relationships and foster collaboration with all internal functions and external partners.

This position requires a candidate who possesses a high degree of attention to detail, exceptional planning and project management skills, analytical ability, collaboration, negotiation skills, and HUSTLE. It also requires the ability to work on additional marketing and production tasks as required.

The candidate thinks strategically, and is able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity. They’ll communicate clearly, concisely, and will be comfortable taking charge of the situation in order to get things done. They value the opinions, thoughts and needs of other. They won’t be afraid to get their hands dirty in order to get the job done. Common tasks may range from hiring staff, to sourcing décor, to managing guest lists, to booking venues for events. This candidate will also be willing and able to identify and communicate opportunities for creating efficiencies and growing client relationships, while serving as liaison between the account management team and the client.

Strong candidates can handle a variety of work and are eager to learn. They are curious and are willing to wear many hats.

Salary is $30,000 plus based on experience. Benefits includes paid vacation and health insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of event execution including event timelines, vendor management, logistics, production, shipments, etc.
  • Help to create maps and renderings of the events 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine event goals and strategy
  • Provide creative input and insights and work closely with the account team on all event marketing décor, signage, entertainment, and collateral
  • Help to identify vendors in markets across the U.S. with the direction of the account team
  • Work with and direct on-site A/V, caterers, venues, entertainment, and all third-party vendors.
  • Work with the agency account team to update event budgets, track spending, and process payments
  • Be hands-on with all aspects of event preparations and logistics
  • Proactively incorporate best practices coupled with creative and fresh thinking to enhance our branded experiences
  • Report on event success metrics and provide post-show reporting and feedback
  • Track event expenses and manage budget, produce event documents (run of show, timelines and contact sheets)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • Preferred 3 years of experience in marketing and events
  • Preferential treatment for agency experience (internship or full-time)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with social media a plus
