Digital Marketing Consultant - Technical Enablement Academy

The digital marketing consultant will be a primary point of contact for some of SAS’ largest clients providing implementation support for the Customer Intelligence 360 product. In this position, the individual will be assisting customers to: define requirements and use cases, provide solution design guidance, build and configuration tasks, mentoring, testing and go-live support. The position will work closely with the SAS business units, project managers, pre-sales engineers and partners, among others.

The successful candidate will rapidly engage with both colleagues, channel partner staff and customer staff, adopting correct organization/cultural manner to build effective relationships and gain trust.  

To prepare you for this consulting opportunity, you will attend a 16 week technical training program. In addition to providing soft skills training, the Technical Enablement Academy provides training in core SAS technology areas. You’ll receive the tools necessary to enable you to build and implement software to meet the complexing computing needs of our customers. During the Technical Enablement Academy, key stakeholders provide guidance, coaching and expert feedback. You will also have an opportunity to achieve multiple professional SAS certifications.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  •  Developing expert level knowledge of SAS Customer Intelligence solution (particularly Customer Intelligence 360) capabilities for marketing including web analytics, digital marketing, real time marketing and email marketing.
  • Designing and implementing marketing solutions based on customer requirements, using SAS Customer Intelligence 360 software.
  • Becoming expert in the configuration and optimal use of the SAS Customer Intelligence 360 product from an end-user and administrator perspective.
  • Participate in pre-sale customer assessments, prototypes, proofs of concept, and proposal preparation, as required.
  • Identify client business objectives and define client marketing processes specifically related to digital marketing
  • Providing reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of specific SAS Customer Intelligence methodologies, products and technologies.
  • Assisting in scoping and defining work efforts, resource plans, and estimating cost on phases/projects.
  • Participating in gathering marketing data and process requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting materials for site visits, project work, and training services.
  • Provide on-site support to customer marketing users as needed.
  • Working proactively with Systems Engineers, Technical Architects and other Solutions Architects to strategize on opportunities, and for cross-training and knowledge transfer
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

 Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Academic or work experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Direct marketing with a digital marketing focus
  • Knowledge of and experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Cloud/SiteCatalyst, Omniture, CoreMetrics, etc.
  • Campaign planning, execution, segmentation and targeting techniques
  • Email Service Providers, metrics/reporting and best practices
  • A proven track record of success implementing and enterprise wide software

 

Preference:

  • Knowledge of SAS products and customer base preferred
  • Experience with an ESP, ISPs, or email authentication vendor
  • Android and iOS application development
  • Familiarity with Demand-side Platform (DSP) or Data Management Platform (DMP)
  • Extremely organized and thorough
  • Strong academic record including a degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, ability to work independently, and ability to travel as needed
  • A genuine interest in business challenges and ideation of solutions to meet customer business objectives
  • Superior conflict resolution, decision making and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills: diagnosis, root-cause assessment, option evaluation and resolution
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines
