Materials Process Engineer
Honda of America Global Manufacturing Center.
Responsibilities
• Engineer responsible for coordinating equipment and quality improvement activity
• Develop and mature innovative manufacturing process
• Lead multiple projects (New Model, Business Plan)
• Develop schedules to meet business plan and new model initiatives
• Mature and maintain equipment run rate goals and quality good piece goals
• Implement countermeasures to eliminate repetitive equipment and quality concerns
• Interact daily with process and maintenance associate
Daily Task
• Daily equipment and quality summaries
• Follow up on equipment and quality concerns
• Implement production improvement activities
• Ensure stable production
Knowledge
• Manufacturing process controls
• Basic manufacturing equipment and quality understanding
Expectations:
- Japanese Automotive
- Dirty and Loud in this department
- Must be willing to wear multiple hats
- Very Hands On
- First shift 6:30-4:00pm
- Will be wearing white uniforms
Required Skills
- Self motivated and managed
- Perform technical writing and communication
- Ability to collect / organize and prioritize data in a timely manner
- Desire to work in a team atmosphere
- Multiple task management
- “Hands on” capability to support daily manufacturing needs
- Fluent in MS office application
Desired Skills
- Foundry experience with emphasis on aluminum
- Technical project management experience
- AutoCad capability
- Project management experience in both existing and new systems
