The Volunteer Coordinator at WVHK serves a critical role in ensuring a quality, comfortable environment for Wisconsin veterans. The position promotes a link between the community and those who have served us all! Without volunteers, WVHK would not be able to provide the variety and abundance of services currently offered to our members.

The incumbent recruits, trains, places and supervises volunteers; conducts and coordinates group and individual volunteer on-boarding and in-service training; conducts all volunteer recognition events, and serves as the primary point of contact for the Volunteer Program.

Minimally-qualified applicants will have experience:

  • Recruiting and/or Placing Workers or Volunteers; and
  • Providing Orientation and/or Training; and
  • With Recordkeeping; and
  • With Written and Verbal Communication; and
  • Providing Customer Service and Conflict Resolution

Well-qualified applicants will also have experience:

  • Performing Relevant Functions in a Healthcare Facility for the Elderly; and
  • Updating and/or Implementing Policy and Procedure; and
  • Using Computers for Newsletters and/or Outreach; and
  • Planning and/or Coordinating Public Events
