Acquisitions Intern

Job Description

The Acquisition intern will have a keen interest in the film industry, specifically on the business side of the industry. They need to be detail oriented and be able to self-manage deadlines. The intern will research and develop a targeted and diverse list of film festivals for the acquisitions team that includes festivals that cover films for African Americans, Latin Americans, LGBTQ and women. The intern will create a database that organizes these festivals by date, category and festival contact that will allow the acquisitions team to easily access and find information. In addition, the intern will specifically target summer film festivals to find several films that meet programming needs that acquisitions can acquire. The intern will shadow the acquisitions process from start to finish.

  • Learn the internal Starz Database system
  • Shadow buyers in the acquisition process

  • Junior/Senior or Graduate Student
  • Interest in business

Candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited degree program and meet one of the following criteria to be eligible:

·        Current undergraduate student entering your junior or senior year

·        Graduate student (MA, MS, MBA or JD)
