Associate, Consulting and Professional Services

Business Sweden is looking to hire an Associate to join our office in Chicago. If you want to contribute to develop Swedish Businesses in one of the world’s most attractive and largest markets, please share your application.

Business Sweden has had a presence in the U.S. since the 70s and with a team of about 25 colleagues in our offices in New York, San Francisco and Chicago. Together, we make up one of the most successful, progressive and dynamic business units in Business Sweden in the largest economy in the world. Our role is to help Swedish companies reach their full international potential by providing consultancy services on market strategy, entry and establishment. The U.S. is also one of the largest markets to drive investments to Sweden.

What do we expect from you?
You will be working in a challenging and stimulating environment supporting our clients in their international business development. You will be part of a truly global organization providing an exciting career with interesting project roles, international project teams, challenging and rewarding projects, through which you can further excel your personal development.

You will collect and analyze market intelligence in team deliveries which are part of strategic market analysis, partner searches and stakeholder management analysis. Tasks also include working in industry teams to develop market insights and support in developing sales leads. You may also support our clients with administration at times and work together with our Administration team in Chicago.

We have a strong team in place, and we set the bar high for applicants’ aptitude in being a team player and not being afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Skills & Requirements

Who are we looking for?
- Higher academic degree, Bachelor or a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering.
- 1-3 years of professional work experience
- Business development, consulting, market analysis, sales support experience is of advantage
- Experience from working or studying outside the U.S. is of advantage
- Proficiency in Swedish or foreign language is of advantage
- As a person you are business-focused, result-oriented, analytical and service-minded
- Social and team-working skills are highly valued as well as passion for and ability to handle new challenges
- Permanent U.S. work authorization

As a person we believe you have a business oriented mindset with a positive "can do attitude" and strong self-motivation. Furthermore, you have excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills as well as an ability to handle multiple priorities.
