Reporting Technical Analyst

Job Summary

The Reporting Technical Analyst is responsible for translating high-level business requests into clear technical system requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business analyst to understand andvalidate that business requirements are applicable to create technical specifications for the reports developers

  • Work closely with the development team to clearly communicate reporting requirements and validate the resulting product satisfies business requirements.

  • Engage in customer calls when a technical resource is necessary for obtaining requirements for a complex customer report

  • Works with stakeholders to understand and validate business requirements for various data feeds are applicable to create technical specifications for the EDI developers

  • Quality Assurance / Testing and Approval

  • Other duties as required


  • BA/BS in Information Technology

  • Solid experience (4-5 years) writing technical reporting requirements in Oracle and SQL database environments

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal/written communications skills are required

  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence/Microsoft Project a plus

  • High energy and ethical standards.

  • Stable work history

  • Must be able to work on-site in the Chicago Office
