Human Resources Intern

Pay Classification: Non- Exempt

Shift:   1st shift                   

Purpose and Scope:

 Provide an opportunity to develop and gain relevant on the job experience in various functions of Human Resources and Operations assisting in professional career development.

  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships through collaboration and consistent timely communication

  • Help uphold a “Team Member” environment supporting others with positive behavior

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting needs to support sales growth, including planning job fairs.

  • Post job openings on various job boards and unemployment website.

  • Work closely with Human Resources team on sourcing candidates and scheduling interviews.

  • Responsible for administrative function of human resources, i.e. filing, database entry, maintaining bulletin boards, job posting log, etc.

  • Assist with coordinating new hire orientation.

  • Assist Human Resources team with other assigned projects; outline project steps as needed.

  • Work with the Human Resources and Payroll team on ADP/HRIS projects.

  • Apply statistical analysis to employee metrics as assigned.

  • Follow food safety and quality guidelines at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required to Perform Work:

  • Working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent from a four-year college.

     

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  •  Strong MS Office Suite knowledge (Excel, Word, Power Point)

  • Read, comprehend and write basic correspondence.

  • Partner and resolve issues with internal and external customers.

  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Compute basic mathematical calculations.

  • Compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
