Financial Analyst

The primary responsibilities of this role, Financial Analyst, are to:
  • Deliver superior financial analysis that drives financial and operating performance of Customer Logistics(CL) operations and other core supply chain operations across departments. Examples of analyses that have significant impact and senior visibility within the US and global business include:Customer Cost-to-Serve, Customer Profitability and Business Consolidation Options Analysis; Customer Financial Risk and Credit Worthiness Analysis;
  • Perform extensive financial analysis and review of customer accounts over $100K and make professional recommendations for credit limits and valid to date extensions, ensuring risk of loss is minimized while supporting sales and business objectives. Approves credit limits up to $500k and recommends credit limits up to $7.5mil;
  • Work closely with Global Credit Management team to maintain customer account documentation for Global Risk Committee approvals and ensure all accounts over $250K meet the requirements to qualify for Global Credit Insurance coverage;
  • Participate in Industry Credit meetings when requested; adds value through knowledge transfer and building relationships;
  • Support business audit requirements are met by ensuring Global and Local documentation is readily available for review;
  • Assist the Sr. Director, CL Admin & Ops and other members of CL Leadership with leading and coordinating budget, headcount and cost center management across > 10 cost centers spanning multiple divisions;
  • Total spend under CL umbrella is over $35Mio;
  • Develop and coordinate delivery of core KPI reporting and other core monthly Logistics financial reporting and analysis for business leadership review across divisions, and in total, including variance analysis, professional reconciliations, and appropriate root cause commentary;
  • Play lead role coordinating Business Intelligence usage and skill development for the CL Admin & Ops group. Serve as a BI Key User and develop optimal approach using the available architecture, and develop and grow skills and capabilities of our total department;
  • Play lead role coordinating Logistics interfaces on cross-business initiatives and financial analysis with US Headquarters, as well as Field Sales and other functions;
  • Regularly coordinate and participate in process improvement efforts across the CL organization;
  • Coordinate and participate in special projects as assigned, and provide support to major functional and cross-functional business initiatives;
  • Assess and define areas of technological advancement within the operational environment including key trends and business measurements;
  • Lead and participate in presentations to customers, internal and external, in areas of expertise;
  • Quantify and drive financial value, visibility, accountability and rigor across Customer Logistics and our commercial supply-chain;
  • Assist the Sr. Director, CL Administration & Operations in providing leadership and management of core site support.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or completion of internship in related field; OR High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience;
  • Strong data retrieval, data manipulation and data analysis skills are essential;
  • Demonstrated success providing value-added analysis and business reporting to multiple functions and constituents;
  • Effective communication skills: oral, written, listening;
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills;
  • Able to deal effectively with multiple levels of management and across functions to get results;
  • Strong team skills;
  • Should effectively participate in a team environment and be able to demonstrate ability to facilitate team meetings and team work plans;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently use PC and mainframe computer applications: Windows, MSOffice (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint);
  • Microsoft Excel proficient user;
  • Demonstrated capabilities in the following competencies: Customer Focus, Drives Results, Manages Ambiguity, Business Insights, and Collaborates;
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Accounting or Credit knowledge;
  • Experience with activity-based costing, discounted cash flow, and other analytics methods;
  • Solid presentation skills;
  • Familiarity and experience with SAP and Data Warehouse environments and tools;
  • Previous experience in healthcare or consumer packaged Goods Company.
