Are you a talented designer with a passion for public service? If so, ODOT wants you! Region 1 Technical Center, located in beautiful Portland, Oregon, is recruiting for a roadway designer to prepare and design the roadway portion of plans and estimates for transportation construction and reconstruction projects. In this position, you will consider roadway geometrics, culvert design, right-of-way requirements, stage construction, traffic handling requirements, safety features, cost, and constructability. Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of and passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and one year of experience applying professional engineering theory, principles and methods.
Special Qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).
