Psychiatrist

Job Duties:

  • Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.
  • Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.
  • Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
  • Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.
  • Practice aseptic techniques as necessary. Comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

  • Graduate with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy
  • Successfully completed a residency program in Psychiatry which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or other appropriate Canadian medical authority.

 Experience:  Candidates must have the following experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience within the last three (3) years as a Psychiatrist.

Security:

  • National Background Investigation
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work site

License/Certification and Training:

  • Possess board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), or the American Osteopathic Association, or certificate in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. For certificates issued by the ABPN, such certification or recertification must have been issued within the past 10 years.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Current DEA registration number
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatrist

  • Monday to Friday
  • Shift Varies
  • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
