DTS is a diverse manufacturing company located near beautiful Charlevoix Michigan. We fabricate high end, low volume, stainless steel assemblies. Our Marine Division (DTS Marine), designs, builds, and installs, Marine Power Windows, Power Doors and custom Mechanical Systems for the pleasure boat industry. We are in need of a self-motivated, Creative Engineer to support our growing efforts. In addition, as needed, you will support our other divisions which include: Rod Tops (Hot Rod Convertible Tops), Time Machines Unlimited (Automotive Restoration), and Food Service (Wood Fired Barbeque Grills, Self-Washing Floor Systems).  This is a challenging Engineering opportunity in a Northern Michigan Community that offers an outstanding quality of life. Requirements

·     Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Naval / Manufacturing or equivalent

·     Minimum 4 years of experience

·     SolidWorks proficiency

·     Creative Mechanical design ability

·     Strong communication skills

·     Ability to install and service mechanical equipment

·     Capabilities in Excel and Word

·     Sheet metal, fabrication, and machining experience a plus

·     Experience with Manufacturing software

·     Marine experience/exposure

Responsibilities

·     Design production and custom products.

·     Create detailed drawings for manufacturing

·     Update and improve existing designs

·     Cost estimating

·     Create Bills of Materials and Processing instructions

·     Create new product installation and owner’s manuals

·     Work with customers, vendors, and service technicians

·     Travel to customers for Design, Installation, and Service Support

·     Hands on Production support, Product testing and Design validation
