Heavy Hitters Music Group is a Music Publishing, Music Supervision and Music Licensing Company that specializes in providing songs by Independent Singer-Songwriters, Composers, Artists and Bands to the Film/TV and Advertising industry. Clients include CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox Sports, Sony, Disney, Universal, Fox Studios and more. Secondarily, we also Music Supervise independent films and provide Music Licensing and Soundtrack clearance services.
An internship here at Heavy Hitters Music combines creative (A&R, music reviewing, working with artists), with pitching music and also licensing/clearance from the Publishing side, Metadata, Promotion and Marketing, Social Media, Publishing, Royalty Collection, etc. In addition, since we do music clearance, you learn the other side of music clearance from the production side. For example, things like the 13 steps of music clearance starting with the research of song/master ownership all the way to the preparation of music cue sheets. It’s a broad spectrum and a great opportunity for someone eager to learn the inside and out of the film/TV and Publishing business.
