 The City of Beloit Police Department, a department whose personnel are committed to protecting the lives, property and rights of all citizens, is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer.  City of Beloit Patrol Officers are responsible for ensuring the constitutional rights of all citizens. Officers enforce the laws of the State of Wisconsin and the ordinances of the City of Beloit. Primarily officers focus on the prevention of criminal activity and disorder in Beloit neighborhoods while providing day-to-day police service and engagement with the community.

 Candidates must be a United States citizen and be able to speak and write the English language. Applicants must possess a minimum of 40 fully accredited college level credits at the time of application. Schools must be accredited with the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools or equivalent accrediting body. All candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants cannot be convicted of any felony or crime of domestic violence unless granted an absolute and unconditional pardon. Experienced law enforcement candidates or individuals that have completed the Wisconsin Basic Law Enforcement Academy preferred. Bilingual speaking candidates highly desired.

Starting Salary: $21.95 to $30.04 per hour; Certifiable Law Enforcement Academy Graduates: $24.44 to $30.04 per hour, (depending upon qualifications)
