High School Principal
Position: High School Principal
Qualifications Include:
Minimum of a Masters Degree in Education or Administration
Possession of/or eligibility to meet and obtain the requirements for State of Michigan Administrative Certification as Secondary Administrator
Proven experience with curriculum
At least five (5) years teaching experience at the secondary level
Major Responsibilities:
Cultivate and grow a positive school climate with staff and students
Analyze student schievement data and use educational research as the foundational principle in the decision making process
Collaborate and engage staff in the School Improvement Process
Collaborate and engage staff in Multi-Tiered System of Support
Possess the ability to foster the growth of staff members
Evaluate performance and effectiveness of instructional practices and staff
Organize and facilitate building level inservice and professional development
Ability to work effectively with a diverse and at-risk student population
Development of an effective parental and community support program
Technology Skills:
Outstanding skills with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc
Skilled at creating a social media presence
Personal Skills:
Ability to listen and accept input
Ability to seek input
Visable, Approachable, Accessible

Contracted Days: 235
Estimated Starting Date: August 1, 2018
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Salary: Salary Range: $82,000 - $88,000
