Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant needed for a client in Auburn Hills, MI. The Staff Accountant will coordinate monthly and year-end financial closing and analyze income-related accounts. Provide financial reports to business units and corporate management. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and schedules. Analyze accounting questions or problems and provide solutions. Assist with Cash Management functions. Coordinate and work with other departments. Assists with the preparation and compilation of the annual financial audit. Assist with any other tasks assigned by the Controller.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

3+ years’ experience needed working as a Staff Accountant. Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance preferred. Experience with month-end close and reconciliation is mandatory for this role. Must have strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as the analysis and reporting of financial data. Must have strong follow through skills with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills, organizational capabilities and a strong attention to detail, are a must. Must have intermediate levels of Microsoft Excel. Experience working manufacturing and automotive preferred but not mandatory. This is a temporary to full-time opportunity for the right individual.
