Technology Services Internship

Department: Corporate Administration 

Job Status: Full Time 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Reports To: VP Technology Services 

 

Amount of Travel Required: 10%

Summer Internship May-August

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Location: Adrian Office 

 


 

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the Technology Services department with automating internal processes.  Support the employees of Kapnick Insurance through consulting on how to use technology most productively for their various needs.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Automate Technology Services internal processes using scripting in conjunction with VMware, Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 system administration scripting interfaces 

Become familiar with and leverage Desktop Authority and Shavlik system management products

Assist with virtual infrastructure 

Integrate and become a part of the Technology Services Team of Kapnick Insurance Group 

Assist end-users to improve productivity through the use of information technology 

Assist with Helpdesk Spiceworks 

Assist with SharePoint Office 365 

Assist with computer system maintenance and enhancement 

Assist with network maintenance and enhancement 

 

 

 

Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of the job

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school)

Current college student with a minimal completion of 1 year with a concentration in computer science or related.

 

Experience:

No prior experience necessary

PowerShell language proficiency
Python language proficiency
Understanding of VMware virtualization
Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory administration
Understanding of Office 365 system administration 

 

 

Other Requirements:
