DP partners with disruptors who are changing the way insurance is experienced by customers. DP’s clients are digital insurance start-ups. These are creative technology companies, but not necessarily equipped with a profound knowledge of insurance. They are making use of new technology and a better understanding of consumer expectations to increase efficiency in the insurance industry.
The Opportunity
This intern will gain valuable work experience in a cross-functional and collaborative environment that will be valuable and transferrable to any future position they seek.
You will have exposure to a wide-range of insurance products including personal lines (auto, homeowners, renters, etc.), commercial lines (GL, PL, D&O, etc.), surplus lines, and potentially less common products such as autonomous vehicles, micro-duration products, pet insurance, etc.
You will also gain cross-functional experience and have exposure to numerous aspects of the insurance operations including product development, filings, state regulations, compliance, claims, back-end systems, etc.

Responsibilities include:
- Support product development, including creation of filing materials and support
- Create & support product reporting efforts across partners
- Review rates/rules and provide product testing support for state rollouts
- Perform competitor and market research
- Lead efforts to refine current processes and controls
- Solid communication skills
- Basic computer & Microsoft skills
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree and on track to graduation
- A team-oriented self-started with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new things
