Controls Engineer-Powder
Job Summary
The Controls Engineer position focuses on understanding the Nordson powder systems operation, controls, and product line at a very detailed technical level. This position requires the design of electrical control panels as well as designing and coding PLC software for customer orders & at times new product development.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Engineering and delivery of project control panels and PLC software
* Work with the commercial team and customers onsite during start up as required
* Support staging and testing of controls prior to shipment
* Support field service calls when required
* Prepare release documentation
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
Education
* Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with concentration in electrical controls.
Experience
* Five (5) years of PLC programming, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens
* Five (5) years of electrical panel design and build experience to UL508 and IEC requirements
* Experience with design software such as AutoCAD

* Writing software on several PLC platforms
