Position: Mergers & Acquisition Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL

The Company

RiverGlade Capital is a Chicago-based private equity firm that partners with founders to grow exceptional healthcare businesses. The M&A Analyst will work with one of our portfolio companies and need to spend a significant amount of time in Texas, but may be permanently located in either Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL.

The Opportunity

This position will report directly to the Director of M&A and will be a critical member of the highly visible M&A team, driving all phases of sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisitions.

Key activities of the position will include assisting in the evaluation of acquisition targets, preparing due diligence materials, and preparation of financial projections and key investment metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly financial statements and other financial schedules
  • Develop and maintain business valuation models and proforma financial statements
  • Evaluate acquisition target financial and operational data, including identifying adjustments to EBITDA, estimating profitability of a target, and identifying deal risks
  • Prepare financial and market analyses of specific geographic areas to determine attractiveness of growth opportunities and potential targets
  • Organize and maintain acquisition pipeline and visibility tools
  • Manage data rooms and the distribution of information to all relevant transaction participants
  • Assist with ad hoc pre- and post-close M&A activities, which may include post-merger integration.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis on Finance and/or Accounting preferred. CPA a plus
  • 1-2 years’ experience in investment banking, management consulting, or public accounting due diligence or transaction advisory
  • Strong analytical skills including financial modeling, accounting, and valuation experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Expert MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Quickbooks a plus  
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management, planning and organizational skills
  • 50% travel required
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
