Strategic Markets Analyst

We are seeking a Strategic Markets Analyst -to be located in our Des Plaines, IL location.

Summary of Position

This position focuses on the Strategic Markets data segment of business. Supports Strategic Markets Manager with the collection and analysis of dealer chargeback data on customer purchasing activity. Validates pricing & contract compliance, researches sales data variances, identifies trends, communicates results and recommends course of action. Supports Director Global Planning and Analysis, Strategic Markets Manager, Marketing, Sales Management, regional Managers and Accounting in business activities related to sales analysis.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Markets Manager on the development and preparation of monthly Strategic Market sales analysis. Assist management with annual Government, Group, and School sales plans, to identify potential revenue to reach identified goal. Work with managers to develop strategies and tactics.
  • Work with IT department to develop detailed Strategic Markets sales dashboard to streamline monthly reporting processes.
  • Maintain central filing system to track customer and dealer contract updates.
  • Review and analyze monthly dealer chargeback reports, manager exception reporting.
  • Import chargeback data to SAP/BW to allow a true picture of ASP. Export data to report on customer categories, growth and opportunities.
  • Independent identificaton of data concerns and clean-up of data in SAP/BW.
  • Assist with the annual Government, Group and School bonus program, track and report monthly results.
  • Assist with the management of the Federal Supply Schedule, ECAT and Blanket Purchase Agreements.
  • Develop appropriate documentation for bid specifications for the government market. Write bid specifications and/or narrative as required to earn sales.
  • Key member supporting high-quality decisions related to the annual global Strategic Market sales planning.
  • Complete other project duties as requested.


Functional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

This position requires an individual with:

  • Dental knowledge a plus but not required.
  • College degree required; Bachelor in Business preferred

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse & Salesforce, a plus but not required.
