Field Engineer / Field Geologist

Advanced Construction Techniques has some great opportunities available for Engineers and Geologists looking to gain valuable field work experience while working with the industry's leading technology.

We currently have contract positions available for Field Engineers and Field Geologists at our project site near Columbia, Virginia. The positions offer valuable hands-on geotechnical engineering and construction management experience.

• Contracts will run from hire date through late June with possible extensions.
  
• Continued contract extensions are possible if you are willing to travel as we have several projects across the United States.
  
• This is not an office job.
  
• Your boots will get dirty.
  

Working with site Project Management and the Head Office teams, our Field Engineers and Field Geologists use the latest industry technologies to monitor construction activities and perform Quality Control testing and technical analyses to ensure safe and successful execution of our projects.

The successful applicants will:

• Have successfully completed a degree in Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical) or Geology from a recognized U.S. institution.
  
• Be proficient working with computers and MS Office programs.
  
• Be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and English language communication skills, both written and oral.
  
• Possess the ability to work individually and integrate with work performance as part of a team.
  
• Be available to work overtime and shift work, as required.
  
• Have the ability to safely and freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments – this is a safety sensitive position.
  
• Hold a valid driver’s license and independent means of transportation to work locations.
  
• Experience using MS Project and/or Primavera is an asset but not required.
