Non-Tenure or Non-Clinical Track Mental Health Clinical Instructor

FT Faculty UDMPU (9 month)

Position Summary:

The University of Detroit Mercy, McAuley School of Nursing invites applications for a full time (9 months) non-tenure or non-clinical track Mental Health Clinical Instructor Position at our McNichols campus for undergraduate nursing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(1) Teach three courses in the fall and winter semesters, with the possibility of summer based on departmental needs.

(2) All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A strong background in mental health nursing practice, therapeutic communication, pathophysiology, psychopharmacology and experience as a master’s prepared nurse in the specialty area of mental health is preferred.

Experience in clinical teaching in a baccalaureate or master’s program is highly recommended.
