Assistant Project Manager

Located in Walla Walla, Washington, Tarragon Northwest manages a portfolio of real estate assets, including agricultural, commercial, residential, and industrial. Our team provides a range of services, from research and acquisitions to property development and management.

 

POSITION 

Tarragon Northwest is searching for an experienced, detail and task-oriented Project Coordinator to organize all types of projects, from simple activities to more complex plans. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the development team to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, time frames and budgets for projects.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

1.    Work collaboratively with the development team to maximize productivity

2.    Reports updates verbally and in written from to management

3.    Monitor budget and help to ensure resources are used efficiently

4.    Completes any administrative tasks, such as research and email

5.    Demonstrates commitment to clients’ needs and confidentiality

6.    Break projects into doable actions and set time frames

7.    Manage project timelines and update as needed

8.    Identify and define requirements, scope and project objectives

9.    Monitor projects, identify any scope changes, seek appropriate approval and document changes

10.  Analyze risk and opportunities

11.  Monitor project progress and notify management of any issues that arise

12.  Work with the Development Team and assist as needed

13.  Issue all legal paperwork, such as contracts and terms of agreement

14.  Create and maintain comprehensive project document, plans and reports

15.  Assist with budget and cash forecasting

16.  Travel to job sites, check on progress, take photos and document

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education, Training and/or Experience

 

1.    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required

2.    Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education preferred

3.    Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in the industry

4.    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Office

5.    Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills

6.    Strong client-facing and teamwork skills

7.    Must have excellent attention to detail with an ability to prioritize projects/workload

8.    Attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving

9.    Able to proactively address potential issues

10.  Collaborative working style and team-player attitude

11.  Ability to work independently with little supervision

12.  Reliable, motivated and committed to team’s success

13.  Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment
