Advertising Account Service Intern

The 88 Account Service Intern position will work with internal teams on various aspects of agency business with key clients. The AS intern is responsible for assisting the management of day-to-day workflow and projects. The AS intern also assists the full account team in project management to ensure work fulfills the overall 88 business and creative vision.

In addition to the role within the Account Service department, the AS Intern would interface with the creative and planning/strategy functions in the agency, to ensure client projects and overall client plans meet deadlines and expectations.

How is 88’s Account Service internship different? The AS intern will get a hands-on experience. They’re not fetching coffee or making copies (well, maybe on occasion, but so is the CEO). Interns manage projects, give creative feedback and provide a point of view.

Experience Requirements:

  • Client service background and skills are preferred but not required
  • Previous advertising or marketing internship experience is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong writing, presentation and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Flexible, proactive and solutions-oriented

Key Responsibilities:

Process Integration & Project Management
  • Participate in client project status meetings
  • Assist in managing project flow through the agency and among departments
  • Assist in creation of project briefs, timelines and process documents
  • Assist in developing client communications and presentation decks
  • Participate in the evaluation of creative work against client objectives
  • Maintain client reference notebooks and/or digital archives for all assigned accounts, detailing past work and work-in-progress, and all pertinent information
  • As needed, take meeting notes, prepare and distribute conference reports
  • Assist in competitive reviews for client categories and as background for projects
Client Relations
  • Support account team in managing day-to-day client and vendor contact
  • Demonstrate attitudes and behaviors that will enhance and reinforce 88 client relation service standards
Strategic Development/Thought Leadership
  • Assist the account team in developing strategic points of view and recommendations
Business Development
  • Assist, when necessary, in business development initiatives identified by the management team (e.g. RFPs, client presentations, other pitch-related activities)
