PEAK6 Trader Support Specialist

As a Trader Support Specialist at PEAK6, you’ll be integral to maintaining and improving the firm’s processes and procedures by collaborating with traders and trader support to advance the firm’s position as an innovative leader in the industry. Working in Shared Trader Services at PEAK6 means that you’ll always be presented with a variety of new possibilities as you continue to enhance your skills.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Handling day-to-day application, script and system support
• Building scripts in Python, SQL and Postgres
• Investigating execution issues and deep diving execution behavior for equity and option securities
• Monitoring our systems
• Collaborating on projects with development, infrastructure, trading, operations, and many other groups within the firm
You’ll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:
• A Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of work experience
• Technical proficiency in Python
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel VBA is a plus
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to understand, analyze and creatively solve problems
• Strong sense of urgency when it comes to customer support resolution
• The ability to pass Series 57 licensing exam upon hire
