Employee Shuttle Driver (PM Shift)
Summary: The Employee Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of employees and courier items between Mazama Village and Rim Village. **We are looking to fill our last driver position. The PM Employee Shuttle Driver will work from 2:30pm-11:00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid meal break) 5 nights per week.**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Treats all employees as “internal guests”. Treats all employees with courtesy and professionalism.
-Safely transports employees between Mazama Village and Rim Village, primarily using a 15-passenger van.
-Communicates with management and front desk staff via radio to ensure thorough and efficient shuttle operations.
-Adheres to posted shuttle schedule; does not leave stops before scheduled departure time.
-Communicates any delays, road/traffic conditions, or other issues to managers and employees throughout workday.
-Adheres to shuttle route to ensure consistency and reliability.
-Enforces proper passenger seat belt usage by all passengers at all times.
-Checks in at NPS Post Office to pick up and/or drop off mail and PCT Hiker boxes.
-Delivers all PCT Hiker boxes to Camper Store in a timely manner.
-Checks in hourly with Laundry department to pick up and/or drop off any linens.
-Checks in at HR office hourly at Mazama A Dorm to pick up and/or drop off any interdepartmental mail or other deliveries.
-Comes to a complete stop at all pick up and drop off locations to ensure any employees waiting for transportation are not left behind.
-Operates in a manner that does not cause excess wear and tear on the vehicle.
-Maintains cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle throughout workday.
-Fills out and turns in Ridership Log for each shift.
-Performs daily vehicle safety and maintenance assessment.
-Communicates vehicle maintenance needs to HR Manager in a timely manner.
-Reports all vehicle incidents to HR Manager or General Manager immediately.
-Maintains control of the in-shuttle environment at all times. Documents and reports any employee issues to HR Manager in a timely manner.
-Maintains awareness of road conditions in inclement weather and adjusts accordingly.
-Follows all safety procedures per Company policies at all times.
-Follows all federal and state traffic laws at all times.
-Adheres to and enforces Company policy regarding no smoking in vehicles.
-Follows all procedures when refueling the vehicle; maintains a safe and reasonable fuel level throughout workday.
-Performs all duties with consideration to the Company’s environmental commitment.
-Adheres to Company uniform and appearance standards at all times.
-Performs all duties in a safety conscious manner. Maintains a safe work environment. Reports all safety issues or potentially hazardous situations to the HR Manager or Operations Managers in a timely manner.
-Performs other duties as assigned with positivity and professionalism.
