Technical Expert Analyst

Tessellate - Risk Adjustment Strategy
 
SUMMARY:

The Reporting Expert Analyst is responsible for identifying, collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data to evaluate issues that support prospective business decisions. This role is also responsible for identifying, collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data to evaluate, report, and coordinate for consumption for senior leadership and clients/external parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • Acting as an independent professional to design, develop, maintain, and publish reporting/presentations
  • Make solid recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations for reporting results for both internal operations and clients
  • Coordinate data consumption from all the appropriate stakeholders
  • Develops systematic reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reporting to leadership
  • Supporting Risk Adjustment with the adoption of new trends and tools in reporting. Researches, analyzes, identifies, and evaluates data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Possesses and maintains a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Risk Adjustment business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), and basic research principles/methodologies.
  • Assists in the management and monitoring of multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.
  • Communicates results of analysis to management via reports/presentations and assists management in implementing programs that provide solutions.
  • Recommends and implements solutions to identified problems/root cause of issues.
  • Provides expertise and guidance to unit and corporate staff as required.
  • Represents and participates in group or committee discussions.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:

  • Drive to achieve independence, ability to prioritize work, and a detail oriented approach
  • Demonstrate ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, prioritize, and collaboratively implement changes in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business analyst
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong communication skills are required to understand, interpret, and communicate ideas and findings.
  • Strong knowledge and use of existing software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with project management skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels.
  • Understand and apply statistical inference.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.

EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of experience in a related field required to provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role. Two (2) or more years of experience in leading Risk Adjustment Programs
