IT Support Specialist
LOCATION: Based out of Davison, MI
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY : Assist in supporting operation of computer systems and equipment for all staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following and other duties that may be assigned by management.
- Assist in managing and monitoring the help desk ticketing system supporting 300+ employees across 29 locations, assisting and troubleshooting various hardware and software issues.
- Assist system administration on, and oversees daily operation of all servers, including application servers, file servers, Exchange servers, SQL database servers, Citrix terminal servers, AV server, Update server, NAS & SANs.
- Perform system administration on, and oversees daily operation of all file and print servers, local area network equipment and wide-area connectivity for all company locations.
- Assist in managing company’s billing software company, Healthcare Data Management System by USS, by providing support, including database software upgrades and testing, as needed.
- Assist in managing Cisco Call Manager phone system across all locations, as well as support company cell phones.
- Provide training of support staff on standard IT operating procedures.
- Assist in daily backup of files, folders, and system files on all servers and DFS services.
- May include some travel to assist staff and perform installations throughout mid-Michigan.
- Assist in administering account creation and termination for users.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, vendor relations, and ensure regulatory compliance from HIPAA, HITECH Act, and PCI standards.
- Achieve technology goals as established by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Position will be based out of Southfield, servicing Southeast Michigan.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES: Windows 7 and Server OS, Microsoft Office, Active Directory Users & Computers, Remote Desktop Services, PC/Desktop support, Print Servers.
DESIRED TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES: VMware, Citrix, Cisco Call Manager, MS SQL Server, Cisco IOS, MS Exchange, Wordpress.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or a college degree in a technology-preferred field, related experience and / or training or a combination of education and experience.
Minimum two to three years of experience in similar technical position.
