Part Time Radio Broadcast Studio Producer #13986
Scripps' Radio in Tucson, AZ is seeking a part- time Radio Broadcast Studio Producer to support our four-station radio group.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for booking guests and making medium-level editorial decisions with collaboration from host(s) under direction of program management.
- Collaborate with program hosts to gather show materials (audio and text), when requested
- Record and produce radio shows at the direction of sales and program management
- Record and produce commercial announcements at the direction of sales and program management
- Switch between live, satellite delivered and recorded source materials on a timed schedule
- Screen/coach callers
- This person may also host his/her own show in addition to the main show(s) they produce, which may include playing a role on-air (i.e. doing traffic reports, character, sidekick, cast member, scheduling music, imaging, promos, etc.)
- Maintain broadcast program logs and report discrepancies
- Follow emergency protocols in the event of a program failure or a disaster beyond the operator's control
- Rip audio files into an audio database using Adobe Audition audio workstation software
- Post podcast files to various websites
- Work hours are Wed-Fri, 3 PM hours each day; Saturday 4-6PM; Sunday 11:30AM-3:30PM, and occasionally other hours, as requested
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Digital audio workstation operation
- Audio mixing console operation, esp. source selection and level control
