Mentor, a Siemens Business, a leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), is looking for a Technical Writer to create user documentation and examples for IC design and verification products. These products include synthesis tools, layout, schematic capture, design for test, physical verification, resolution enhancement technology, and mask data processing tools.

As an entry- level technical writer, you will:
- Participate in every level of documentation design and production, from gathering user feedback, creating test cases and examples, to producing final copy
- Learn the latest cutting- edge technology in IC verification software
- Work closely with experienced and innovative software engineers
- Be part of a talented technical writing team supporting the most successful product line in the company

The ideal candidate will have:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Familiarity with IC implementation, including RTL, synthesis, custom layout, place and route, and design for test
- Familiarity with IC verification tools, including physical verification (both DRC and LVS), resolution enhancement technology, or mask data processing
- Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting.
- Ability to write clearly and accurately
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on a new project and balance multiple tasks
