7-12 Resource Room Teacher

Full-time teaching position working as a special education teacher for students at the junior high, and high school levels. Will be working with students within their general education classrooms, in small groups, and in a homeroom type setting.

Qualifications: Any interested candidates with a teaching degree are encouraged to apply. This is not limited to special education certification.

Performance Requirements

·         Strong knowledge of effective ways to help students achieve their goals

·         Ability to plan effective, engaging lessons, and to use data to plan and adjust instruction

·         Ability to work with colleagues and parents to improve student outcomes

·         Knowledge of Special Education law, documentation/paperwork, and evaluation/assessment strategies

·         Demonstrates exceptional classroom management skills

·         Excellent computer and presentation skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Sensitive to the needs of students of varying age groups

Terms of Employment

Full-time position, starting as soon as the position is filled.

Salary Range:

$34,599 to $56,880, depending on education and experience.
