Recruitment Coordinator

Axiom, a pioneer in the legal industry and a leading, global provider of technology-enabled legal solutions, is seeking a Recruiter to join our team in Houston.

Axiom

Axiom, a recognized leader in the business of law, is a new category of professional services firm and the world's largest provider of tech-enabled legal, contracts, and compliance solutions for large enterprises. Axiom is pioneering change, innovation, and value in one of the world’s largest economies that has not yet fully yielded to innovation and modernization. The Financial Times ranked Axiom #1 in business of law, #1 in innovation in corporate strategy and #1 in innovation in law firm efficiency, while The New York Times said Axiom is “rewriting the law firm business model.” We’re comprised of over 2,000 passionate Axiomites who serve over half the Fortune 100 across 17 offices globally (…and growing!).

The Role

Make your mark on one of our fastest-growing markets by driving Axiom’s growth throughout the Lone Star State through the acquisition of top-tier legal talent. This is a uniquely commercial recruitment role that interfaces closely with the Texas sales team to calibrate legal talent with client demand. Additionally, this role nurtures our current lawyer community through social events and networking. There’s not only a high degree of independence, there’s the opportunity to work with an amazing group of fun and talented people. And host a crawfish boil.

Specifically, this role will:

  • Support the lawyer team in assessing client demand and analyzing relevant data and metrics.
  • Cultivate lawyer recruitment strategy and identify talent through passive and active sources including online postings, social networks, internet research, referrals, cold calls, user groups, professional associations, and direct recruiting.
  • Coordinate the candidate interview and hiring process; conduct preliminary interviews and, in partnership with the team, use professional judgement to evaluate lawyer candidates.
  • Construct interview paths and assignments for incoming candidates and serve as the main point of contact, ensuring all candidate correspondence is completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and facilitate recruitment events and seasonal parties for the lawyer talent.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Houston office, including monitoring office supplies and greeting guests.

Successful Candidates

Successful candidates must fit Axiom’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. As such, successful candidates must be highly capable in each of the following dimensions (among others): adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking/problem solving, proactivity, collaboration, technological savvy, and operating with/through a lean team.

Beyond these characteristics, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education for this particular role:

  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience, bonus points if it’s recruiting experience within a law firm, recruitment agency, professional services or corporate in-house environment.
  • Business acumen; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High EQ; ability to effectively assess candidate skills and interests.
  • Extremely organized and able to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced team environment.
  • Incredibly proactive and independent; demonstrates great initiative and adaptability.
  • Genuine interest in the Axiom business model and our place in the changing legal landscape.
  • Undergraduate degree is required. Top-tier college or university strongly preferred.

Axiom is an equal opportunity employer and committed to a diverse workforce.
