Job Title: Emerging Talent Associate

A little bit about our team:

Warner Music Group’s Emerging Talent Program (ETP) is a paid program designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply their skills and previous experiences to the music industry. This multidimensional, hands-on program begins by matching students to specific departments across WMG’s companies, based on their interests, for a semester-long experience. ETP is offered during the summer, fall and spring semesters.

The ideal Emerging Talent Associate candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about the music industry and its trends and embody Warner Music Group’s core values. Candidates must be professionally motivated and driven to make a career in this ever changing industry. We are looking for individuals who have a track record of success in a similar role and who has had experience with various parts of the music industry.

Here you’ll get to:

Upon joining our team, associates are fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of their assigned department. They will participate in strategic meetings, help to solve key business issues, network with our senior leadership, and offer their ideas and perspectives in order to further WMG’s global success. In addition to gaining unparalleled industry experience, working as an Emerging Talent Associate ensures that you will obtain access to incredible development opportunities, such as our Capstone Project where students will develop a business idea for Warner Music Group, based off of their department, present in front of our executives and gain real time feedback on their ideas.

Rockstar candidates will be able to:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited university or college
  • Be a senior or graduate student with an expected graduation date of 2018-2020
  • Have completed at least two previous internships in the music, media, entertainment, or tech industries

It would be music to our ears if you also had:

  • Professional goals that align with Warner Music Group’s core values and business objectives
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong passion and knowledge of the music industry/media
  • Prior work experience (part-time/summer) preferred
  • Leadership experience on or off campus preferred
  • Digital/technical savvy required
