Marketing & Communications Specialist

The Michigan Health Council is a growing and dynamic 501c3 non-profit that focuses on making great products and delivering services that support Michigan’s health care employers, educators, and professionals (present and future). We are currently seeking an energetic, conscientious and detail oriented individual who enjoys making a difference to support the Michigan Health Council Director of Communication.


Responsibilities and Duties (in collaboration with our MHC Staff):

  • Assist with translating MHC’s mission, goals and strategies into specific and meaningful marketing efforts.
  • Support the MHC team in daily administrative tasks that correlate to marketing, public relations, and communications.
  • Collaborate with MHC Communications Director in the development and monitoring of communications including newsletters, articles, web content, email blasts, social media messaging, collateral marketing materials, etc.
  • Analyze current marketing efforts and advertising placements and pricing to maximize outreach efforts and audience captivity.
  • All other administrative and managerial responsibilities presented to this position as deemed necessary by the Michigan Health Council Talent Acquisition and Training Manager


Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal, writing, technology and creative skills
  • Organized; expert at juggling many tasks and projects
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment

Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with Adobe Create Cloud preferred, but not required
  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing software, and online survey tools
