Applications Support

The mission of the Kent County Friend of the Court is: "To serve the Court and the families of Kent County to ensure children are supported, both financially and emotionally." We enforce child support, custody and parenting time, monitor accounts and prepare recommendations for the Court regarding custody, parenting time and child support.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain queries, reports, and applications in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of services to our clients. Test upgrades of new software releases for compatibility with current applications, systems and network infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with in-house, County-provided and State applications in coordination with Friend of the Court staff, and County and State Helpdesks as needed.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated technical ability who welcomes change, completes work within deadlines, maintains security of confidential data, and possesses excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, business information systems, data processing, mathematics, a physical science discipline or other relevant field, combined with at least six months programming experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific knowledge of the following software and tools preferred: Visual Basic, Java, R, SQL Server, OnBase, Tableau, and SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence.
