Research Analyst I (170007BR)
Determine if a person holds a driver’s license (DL) or identification card (ID) in another state
Access the Unified Network interface (UNI) to send daily requests to other states electronically to terminate a DL/ID
Process license related reports to resolve discrepancies using the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators’(AAMVA) State2State system
Interact with other jurisdiction and AAMVA to resolve transaction anomalies
Assist with correcting errors on the registry database and insure that information is correct, accurate and consistent
Communicate with the other jurisdictions to correct errors or to determine which state should hold the pointer
Analyze issues to identify resolution actions working with internal and external entities as necessary
Research issuance dates and partial SS numbers when duplicate active credentials occur
Provide information on all state issued DL/ID’s nationwide
Verify DL/ID cards presented as a form of identification
Assist internal customers in processing transactions, resolving licensing problems and answering licensing/identity questions via telephone
Analyze data to determine what state a person actually belongs to, the type of offense, incident date, etc.
Maintain liaison with Driver Licensing authorities in other jurisdictions as necessary
Serve as receiving teller for the unit as necessary
Receive and log daily reports containing MCSIA compliance issues and errors
Categorize errors and prioritize resolution actions in order of business impact criticality
Maintain awareness of compliance changes as introduced by FMCSA and AAMVA
Research and communicate information concerning driver's license or driver record data with the public and the department and other states ensuring that data is interpreted and entered correctly
