Safety/Risk Management Summer Intern
Qualifications:*Currently working on completion of Bachelor's or graduate degree in related field
*Extensive Excel knowledge
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
*Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
*Ability to work independently and in teams
*Ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts and tools
*Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others
Responsibilities:
*Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of personal safety and food safety programs, systems, and procedures
*Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments
*Conduct root-cause investigation and analysis of lost time and restricted duty cases
*Develop and/or enhance safety trainings
*Assist in OSHA record-keeping
*Complete safety data reporting and the enhancement of a monthly dashboard
*Maintain the Safety Intranet page
*Research safety and food safety topics and compliance requirements
*Special projects as assigned
